Because of the soft music (especially in the beginning) and the dreamy atmosphere it creates. You can almost feel you’re sitting in a boat outside of time, rocking and swaying softly as the sun sets. The clear and somewhat wistful voice of the singer helps further create this scenery. The lyrics are really worth paying attention to if you can understand German. Who the seaman is exactly is never explicitly shown, it’s up to your personal interpretation.
Why you might not like Rammstein – Seemann
There are some jarring parts where the music is too loud to fit with the rest of the song. But even if you don’t like Rammstein, I think this is a song you should listen to.
